Welcome to the Department of Zoology of St Aloysius College Edathua, where excellence
meets passion since 1998. Our mission is “to shape the future of Zoologists and Fisheries
professionals”.
Through our Undergraduate Programme, B. Sc Zoology (Honours Degree) with Zoology as
Major and proposed Minors in Aquaculture & Chemistry, we provide students with
unparalleled practical and field exposure, ensuring their proficiency in Zoology & Fisheries
Biology. In addition to our academic offerings, we provide a specialized Certificate Course on
“Ornamental Fish Breeding & Culture,” empowering our students to become future leaders in
the fisheries sector.
Discipline is not just a word here; it’s a way of life. Alongside academic rigor, we instill values
of responsibility and citizenship in our students.
Supported by DST-FIST and having successfully completed three minor research projects
under UGC funding, our department boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including Microbiology
and Biotechnology Laboratories, Practical Labs, a Zoology Museum, and an Ornamental Fish
Hatchery Unit.
