St. Aloysius College provides accommodation for 50 female students in the Marian Women’s Hostel, located on campus. The Principal serves as the general warden, and the hostel is managed by SABS sisters. Students residing in the hostel are under the direct disciplinary supervision of the warden.
Applications for hostel admission must be submitted using the prescribed form, available at the hostel. Students admitted to the hostel are expected to stay for the entire academic year, and no refunds of the caution deposit or establishment fee will be issued if a student leaves during the term. Residents vacating the hostel must provide two weeks’ written notice to the warden.
Hostel Rules:
- The hostel mess operates on a dividing system, with monthly fees announced before the 5th of each month.
- Residents are expected to take meals at designated times and maintain cleanliness in the dining hall.
- Strict silence must be observed during study and sleep hours.
- Leaving the hostel without prior permission from the warden is prohibited.
- All residents must be present on reopening days after Onam, Christmas, and summer holidays.
- Students cannot miss classes without valid reasons and prior permission from the warden.
- Only visitors approved by parents are allowed in the hostel. Visiting hours are between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, and students may not take visitors to their rooms.
- Residents are generally allowed to go home on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
- Ragging, political agitation, strikes, and demonstrations of any kind are strictly prohibited.
- As per G.O. RT/No. 346/05/Higher Edn. Dt. 1.3.2005, the use of mobile phones is strictly banned.
Misconduct or serious breaches of hostel rules may result in suspension or dismissal, depending on the severity of the offense.
