The Student Counseling Center at St. Aloysius College offers personal and vocational guidance to students across all departments.
The center focuses on fostering positive behavioral changes, empowering students to make informed decisions, recognize their potential, and effectively manage challenges. Counselors provide non-judgmental and confidential support, promoting student well-being and productivity.
Trained counselors assess, diagnose, and treat students facing stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, social addictions, and other personal, emotional, social, family, peer, and academic problems. Through individual and group counseling, students receive support for academic goals, social and personality development, career planning, and enhancing listening, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
Objectives:
- Provide accessible and supportive counseling and health services that address the individual needs of the student community.
- Guide students through various life stages.
- Offer support for personal, academic, and social pressures.
Mr. Georgi Alex Oommen, M.Sc, M.Phil, a Clinical Psychologist, is available on campus for counseling on all working days.
