The Women’s Cell at St. Aloysius College, Edathua, stands out as a dynamic and engaged community, encompassing all female students within the college. Its establishment was driven by a commitment to underscore the significance of gender equality, raise awareness about women’s rights, and foster the development of female students’ skills. Situated within St. Aloysius College, Edathua, one of the state’s forty mixed-gender colleges receiving financial backing from the KERALA STATE WOMEN’S DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (KSWDC), the Women’s Cell underwent a renaming to KSWDC-WOMEN’S CELL to reflect this partnership.
The executive committee of the Women’s Cell comprises seventy members, with two representatives elected from each class across every department. This structure ensures broad representation and diverse perspectives, facilitating effective initiatives and actions towards gender equity and women’s empowerment within the college community.
